| AI and Time Wheel |
While the wheel of time continues to turn, the rapid advancements in AI are bringing both benefits and potential risks to humanity. The majority of humans are currently using AI either directly or indirectly, but do you actually understand what AI is?

Artificial Intelligence is the field of technology, the term was invented by John McCarthy in the year 1950 stating machines can do the work any intelligent human would do. Over the years technology has emerged vertically and horizontally, resulting in the presence of AI in every other field.
AI and its applications can do tasks that are either difficult or impossible to achieve by humans, that too with increased efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. It has made human lives better in various ways. But does that justify the threat it is bringing to the human race over time?
Stephen Hawking once said in an interview, “ The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever-increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.”
A decade ago, rarely any AI systems were able to do language, vision, or speech recognition and processing and today there are thousands of conversational AI applications performing any task in almost every field present out there starting from writing to video creation just by providing prompts. Within seconds we are getting itineraries to music videos. The fuel for these time-based machines is data and computing power.
As the time wheel is turning, we are running towards the age of AI. However, the human mind is incapable of keeping up with the speed of the evolution of technology, particularly AI and Machine Learning. As AI learns and provides results based on the data supplied, chances of biased programming, threats to customer privacy, increase in human laziness, and lack of creativity have become major concerns. Associated risks are also rising at the same rate as the rapid development
In conclusion, as the wheel of time keeps turning, emerging AI is bringing numerous benefits along with potential risks to humanity. The critical challenge for this and the coming generation is finding the balance between utilizing the potential and securing against its risks.
